This
musical Western was also a celebrated film that starred Doris
Day and Howard Keel. 'Calam'
dresses like a man, totes a gun and drives the Deadwood City stagecoach.
Well-meaning but disaster-prone, she tries to help Henry Miller
out of a jam by promising to fetch a famous music-hall star, Adelaide
Adams, from Chicago to perform at his 'Golden Garter' saloon in
Deadwood City.
Unwittingly,
she brings Katie Brown, the stage struck maid to Miss Adams, who
poses as the famous actress!
